Last night I got out for an after work ride with Habitat’s weekly “Man Show on Dirt” on the Phillip’s Ridge trail. There were only 6 of us willing to make the drive from Driggs to Teton Pass and tolerate the road construction along the way but it was definitely worth the trip. The ride typically meets at the shop and or the trailhead at or around 5pm on Wednesday evenings. They usually put up a notice on their Facebook page with the details that day. It seems that many of the rides I’ve seen posted have taken place in the Big Holes which probably makes for an earlier return in most cases. By the time we had finished the trail, pedaled out of Fish Creek Road, had a quick beverage at the Stage Coach, and shuttled back to the start, it was well after 9pm and nearly dark. I think Everyone had a great time though and I know I look forward to going out on another of these rides soon.
The trail was in much better shape than it was a few weeks ago. All of the downed trees have been cut up and cleared since the last time I rode this. I was able to get the Phillip’s Ridge trail map page updated this time. Unfortunately I forgot the camera so new new photos.
Tomorrow the lifts start spinning again for the summer at Grand Targhee. Looking forward to seeing some of the new trails they have in store this season.
