What are Maintenance Mondays?
Mountain Bike the Tetons started the Maintenance Monday program to encourage volunteer trail work and to address existing maintenance needs on Teton Valley trails. Recognizing that most of us like to ride on the weekends and, truth be told, not many of us can swing a tool for more than a couple of hours, MBT holds these weekly evening trail work parties to help with basic but critically necessary projects like drainage, brushing back overgrowth and trail reroute projects. From anytime between 4pm-8pm, you can join MBT Trail Ambassadors and volunteer on trails throughout the valley. Projects are chosen according to need and season and change on a weekly basis.
Current Project Schedule
Maintenance Mondays run from 4-8 PM every Monday in May through June and then September through October, weather permitting.
09/25/2017 – Grumpy Reroute, sign-in at the Mike Harris parking area.
MBT’s Maintenance Mondays began in May 2015. Volunteers gathered and made improvements on Teton Valley favorites such as Mill Creek, Channel Lock in Horseshoe Canyon, the Aspen Trail, and the Victor Bike Park. The program contributed hundreds of trail maintenance hours to Teton Valley trails and parks in summer, 2015.
